1 stick margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk

(Melt butter and mix together in a baking dish all ingredients except the fruit)
THEN:Dump fruit (blackberries, strawberries, peaches, blueberries, etc.) on top of this but DO NOT MIX.
Bake on 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Middle may be a little soupy, but it will jell up as it cools.

Charles makes a trip to Cooley Springs Orchards at least one time every summer. Best peaches on
the planet. This year he came in with two quarts of the biggest sweetest blackberries I've ever seen. Mom and Deb and Carmen and kids were here. We got to talking about those cobblers we used to make and I came inside and made one. Heaven!
Charles decided "he needed some more of that" so he bought six more quarts of blackberries. Took me several hours between rests, but I got all of them frozen minus enough for a cobbler last night. JET, Papaw and Meem enjoyed ourselves on that pie while watching what was left of "Blazing Saddles" on TV.
I was up early (I can now say..."as usual") this morning. I'm going to sushhhhhhh about this arthritis pain - things could be so much worse...... but I could barely walk! The problem is, I'm not ready for anything to eat so early, but can't take any pain med until I've eaten... oh well, life at this age is interesting.
