Wednesday....

Little Miss "Shop-till-you-drop" slep until nearly noon today. It was raining outside by then and Papaw suggested that we go to the Dollar Store - right down Savannah's ally. She was ready in a flash and Papaw promised Brus*ter's ice cream also. OK.

We went back to Patrick*s where she ordered another of those famous hamburgers... but come to think of it, before that, Papaw took her into the local store where she shopped for snacks and came out with a bag of them. THEN we headed down the mountain to Greenville.

She and Papaw went into the Dollar Store and she came out loaded. I couldn't believe it. That kid has an arsnel of snack foods and junk she bought in there. The Dollar Store with Papaw is a major treat for our grands. They all love that little outting - it's tradition.

Went down to the wonderful consignment store below Greenville. It's upscale and the prices are fantastic. We found a small antique pine roll top desk to put in the third bedroom which will be Charles' office. We took the cherry desk apart and have given it to Dean and Carmen. CT was thrilled with the roll top. Someone has taken excellent care of it. We got it for the lowest mark down price after it had been there for 3 months, and paid barely over $200 for it. A huge bargain. We're happy about that. The room back there will be done in nautical Charleston. I'll make pics in the next few weeks. Though it's small, I know we're going to love it and we've decided that to have one more sleeping space is very important. We'll have another window seat back there - twin bed size.

Came back home and fixed spaghetti for dinner. Savannah said several times she doesn't like spaghetti - but we talked her in to just taking a bite of this spaghetti. She ended up eating a plate full plus a second and third helping.

Then it was time for her to bake her cupcakes. We laid everything out and talked about what to do and how and when to do it. She made wonderful cupcakes. Then she iced them and decorated them. Papaw and I were treated to a cupcake party tonight. Vanna did a beautiful job and the cupcakes were delicious.

She read 3 long stories to me tonight - then we got her to bed. Papaw worked on the bedroom/office and got right much done. He's asleep now and I'm headed that way.

Full day. FULL day!
