Savannah is a special kiddo. She and MeMe had a blast at MeMe Camp. We shopped again on Thursday because papaw had to make another trip to Lowe's.... so Vanna and I went into Ross. I found a couple of things but Vanna didn't find a thing. She was not a happy camper.... until we got ice cream, that is. Brusters. Biggest rip-off to date and Brusters is usually NOT that way. Boy are they expensive.... and Vanna wanted dark chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone.... $3.25 or something like that. She downed every bit of it though.
Came back to the house and watched Sponge*bob while the Meem cooked supper.... we ate spaghetti - something Savannah does NOT like, she says. But this is MeMe Camp where ANY kind of food tastes good. Not only did she try a bite, she ate first one plate full and then a second plate full before she decided she was full. Not bad for a kid that does not "do " spaghetti.
Friday..... a day for packing and finishing up the incredible Visible Woman.... that gal is super glued together. Papaw came strolling by the plantation chair that we had her "visible" plastic body laying in and sat on it. Talking about world war III...... so we had to piece her body shell back together..... and we managed to do it.
Planning to leave on Saturday morning to make the big switch.... at "our exit" on interstate 40. We have had a GREAT time with this kid. I think it does her so much good to be with us. We make a huge conscious effort to "assure her" and build her up. She needs some extra hugs and love, being the middle child, so Papaw and I pour it on. Of course she has run us ragged this week, but we've loved having her as a guest at MeMe Camp.
