We finally had the pipes at our house fixed and left the house around 1:00 to go grab some lunch - ate at the "Huntin Lodge" BBQ place. Charles said that when Debbie & Jim & Mom make the trip up, we'll have to take them down there.... best BBQ we have EVER eaten. It was good for just CT and me to get out. We never mind Jonathan being with us, in fact, we enjoy it when he can go because he works a lot and can't go.
Anyway.... got back to the house to no water. Now that is major at this point in time.
Charles scurried - HA... what am I saying? He HURRIED up to the reservoir & found it was empty, but the flow of water coming in was very steady... so the problem had to be at the house. No more broken pipes, but the commode in the new bathroom had hung up and 500 gallons of water had run through it into the septic tank. Oh joy. Turned off the commode and that stopped.
Went into the old main bathroom that we're taking apart.... cut the water intake and had a guiser of cold water spraying all over the bathroom..... finally grabbed a POTATO and mashed it over the top of the pipe to stop the water till he could get it turned off outside (I can't reach it outside). We were both wet by then. Hold my finger over it? Are you kidding? Too forceful. We were laughing and yelling like two kids.
He wants me here another week at least. I want to get a LOT done as far as the boxes are concerned. The kitchen should be set up tomorrow but we're still waiting on that 9" cabinet and a light that I'm getting ready to order. We are going to have to have the V.Castings serviced this week. Have not lit it in 5 years and can get a pilot light but it will not light.
A good friend emailed. "Are you missing the boat?" I sure am. But CT and I do not do "life" apart from one another. I'm not whining but this is very tough. Still, God is good.
