I'm just sitting here in amazement, holding not one, but SIX CDs sent to me by one of my favorite people on God's earth, Verle.
Verle reads LifeWay "stuff" and that's how this 84 year old Saint and I got together. He lives WAY far away from Tennessee, and wrote the sweetest letter several years ago, and we've been friends ever since.
He is an electronic whiz, and has an active video/tape/photography ministry going for his church - a good sized church in his town. Verle is living proof that senior citizens can have an active role in their church and God doesn't "retire" any of us out. I have used him many times in my SS class as an example.
My email is down today or this thank you wouldn't be so public... but I can't wait to let Verle know that his kindness is well received. Comcast is having problems around here, they said..... so I can't email you, Verle to send a hug and many thanks, but I know you'll be reading this sometime today. Thank you so much! I will enjoy every CD, and I love you for thinking of me in this way @ Christmas.
