Saturday, Sunday and now, Monday, and this is the first time I've sat down to blog. I'll try to catch up for "posterity"..... Also discovered an unpublished "saturday" which I will publish and also this one.... I'm losing my mind (Laughing)... it's really on "overload" and for me? That's dangerous!
Saturday we were up early - had plenty to do at the homeplace. Charles declared he had had the best nights sleep since the last night we slept in that bed in the house on Lakeshore - back in that huge featherbed. I slept well, too.
Jonathan was off from work and had a Christmas gathering at Susie W.'s home - our organist at First Baptist. It was the Daystar party. He had to take a pasta dish and was really excited about going up there. Susie and Ronnie have built on land that has been in their family for a hundred years and their view is 360 over Transylvania Co., NC. She and I are having lunch up there sometime after Christmas. I can hardly wait.
JET and his dad went to Lowe's for supplies, picked up propane gas to use with the big logs in the new fireplace, and went by the storage unit to get the antique highboy. We put it in the bedroom. Love the way the bedroom looks - and pictures don't do it justice.
Anyway, Jonathan left for his party and we left for Tennessee. Great drive over and boy did the bed on the boat feel good!
Ted promised us a kitchen by December 24, without countertops, but he will lay a sheet of plywood on there so I can make some sausage balls. They are sanding the sheetrock first of this week. Long way to go it seems....
