We kept
I worked on my beach trip scrapbook for Mom all the way back. She's going to love it and I'm going to want to hate giving it away, but since it's Mom.....
Got here and saw the gate down at the end of the driveway. We're going, HUH??? and then, "Oh no..." We wondered if someone had crashed through it or backed into it - we didn't quite know what to think.
None of the above.
Seems as if Master Jonathan couldn't get his gate key in the lock early this morning as he was on his way out. Forced it in (lock was frozen) and turned it and the key broke off in it. So there he stood (he said), mad as a hornet, gonna be late for work, locked on the wrong side of the gate.
Decided he'd just crash through the thing. Then decided he'd scratch and dent his new car so that wasn't an option.
Came back to his house and grabbed the axe. Went back down to the creek, tapped the hinges out of the gate... no... knocked the hinges out of the gate. Pulled it over to the side, and got out of there for work. So that will have to be fixed tomorrow.
On our way back we realized that we could not find Charles' cell phone. Finally I called it. Two minutes later Karen called us - "Is this Charles' phone?" Well yes it IS. "Well we have it in Nashville, he dropped it going out of the meeting at lunch and we found it and picked it up." I handed my cell phone to him...... so they talked. Karen is going to mail it. I'm going to velcro that stupid phone to him when we get it back.
We all need help.
To bed.... weary bone tired.
