What Fun!!!!

We headed out of the boat this afternoon but stopped long enough to have a conversation with our neighbor, Tony. I think he was worried about us. "Are you'all keeping warm?" You bet we're keeping warm. He's afraid we're freezing over here. Said he plans to put up some of the plastic on the inside of the windows on his boat..... lots of windows, huge boat that they live in year-around. We're keeping warm because we added so much insulation when we re-did this boat. We convinced him that we're fine and went on our way. It was COLD out there and windy still.

Took CT's car up to put air in a tire - he picked up a nail.... left it parked in IGA parking lot and ran in to pick up some bread that Carmen asked us to bring, plus a pkg. of Mrs.B's frozen
biscuits that Summerlyn wanted to bake for tonight.

Got to the Jones house to find that the kid didn't put the biscuits in the bag. We were not happy about that, but were not going to drive back for it. Will run by tomorrow.

The first thing we ran into inside was bear hugs from the grandkids - except Luke. He had 5 shots in the legs today for his 2 year check up and he was in no mood to hug anybody. Dean has cut his hair and this child is TOTALLY changed.... looks sooooo cute like this - a little blonde tow-head.

We ate Bacon and Sausage tonight - the two pigs they had slaughtered during our beach trip. The roasts were out of this world good but I couldn't bear to think that what I was eating was out there in the pen running around last month.

After we ate, we had a low fat dessert Carmen made that was to DIE for (as the kids say)... Pumpkin cake. It was awesome. I've gotta get the recipe which is quick and simple she says.

We sat around and talked - Papaw told "stories" - Summerlyn asked him to. We laughed until we cried at some of the shenanigans CT told about in the school business through the years plus family things. Then Dean and Charles rode in to Hall's Wal(mart while Carmen and I talked and Carmen looked at the First Baptist directory. That was interesting too, because she's been gone for about 14 years now but still knows a lot of people there.

Came back to the boat.... It's 21 degrees and we're warm, safe and happy. God IS good in good times and bad.
