Made it to Canton when I said something to him about my laptop. Long story short, we had left it at the house.
Called Jonathan and he was 15 minutes away from leaving for work, so he got it and we said we'd meet him at work and get it. That would save some time, certainly. Turn around, drive back to Hender*sonville.

I looked at a couple of things (bought nothing) and heard Jonathan calling me - looked up and there was Marc H. - husband to one of my former SS gals who has had a major health issue lately due to some surgery in her neck. Hadn't seen Marc or Bobbie since we left NC for Tennessee. We hugged until people probably wondered about us and I headed out to the car where Bobbie was. We had a grand reunion catching up. Bobbie was sporting the feeding tube that is keeping her alive right now and she kept saying, "I can't believe this, I can't believe this." Marc said it was a God-thing for sure. Had I not forgotten my laptop........ We do not believe in coincidences.
Anyway...we had a nice drive back to the lake - didn't even stop for groceries this time because we'll be back in H'ville in 3 days. s(We're pressed with the house at this point.)
Let the cats out on Lakeshore thinking we'd go in and check to see if the heat was on, but Sophia and Wayne are here so we didn't need to.
Came to the boat and it was freezing coming down through the marina. Wind howling, and we thought the boat would be freezing as well. It wasn't. In fact, it was warm enough to take our coats off - it's facing the afternoon sun and even with the drapes closed, it was warm. THAT was good, but we immediately turned on the heat.
Then we noticed that we could hardly stand up straight. CT went outside to see what in the heck was going on, and came in saying it had to be the wind... even the big boats were rocking.
Talking about being rocked to sleep - almost too much. Charles slept like a baby; I didn't.
Up this morning early.... saw him out the door and made myself a large cup of hot chocolate, fat free, and dumped some chocolate marshmallows in it. Tried to decide if I was going to give in to the rocking of the boat or not. Enjoyed the hot chocolate (and I'm not a hot drink fan - always prefer cold to hot)... and watched it spit snow as I was talking with one of my SS gals from Central. And the boat was still rocking big time.
I straightened up around here - we brought 75 percent less stuff back in so it didn't take as long to unpack this time.... but by noon, I was feeling it, so climbed back in bed and slept until 2:15 this afternoon. I'm like a new person now! The wind is still blowing, but about 75% less than when I went to bed and the boat isn't rocking any more than it usually does.
Papaw and MeMe are headed for the Jones farm tonight for din din. It will be a treat, but we need a grandbaby fix in the most terrible way so we've "gotta go"....!!!
