It's nearly midnight - CT is sound asleep, the boat is 70 degrees, and it's absolutely pouring the rain outside.Charles and I were up early and out of here by a little past 8:00 this morning. He has the deck boat covered and the way the skies were looking, we were glad that job was finally done.
Went to West Knox to H. De*pot to look at floor tile, and found what we want. Just have to email Ted now. He has the granite sample - here's a pic of the granite.... and the flooring.... I'm WAY out of my comfort zone picking out this stuff... but I'm "taking to it".... yep~ too much HG*TV. This pic isn't of the flooring, but the back splash behind the stove... The floor tiles are the lightest of the 1 inch tiles in the pic.
I did a little Christmas shopping, though most of it has been done. I needed to get something (that I LIKE) for Mother. Won't say more, she reads this every day and she knows I can't keep a secret about Christmas presents for her. I'm having a TOUGH time not saying anything to the girls about their Christmas train trip. They don't have a clue and I dare not spoil it, but I HAVE said things like... "Just you wait and see the SUPRISE that MeMe and Papaw have for you for Christmas - I'm just dying to tell you about it, but I absolutely CAN'T because your Mama won't let me. " They just look at me with big droopy eyes and cling to me around my waist and kiss on me. "Ahhh, MeMe!" The few extra hugs and smooches are worth the big price tag so I'll milk this one for as long as I can until the 22nd of December! Suffice it to say, I'm shopping for 3 charms for their bracelets as a momento, and will be sure to post pictures.

and I went to Fre*sh Ma*rket this afternoon, too. R*ita's Ba*kery was closed so we couldn't get the to-die-for thumb print cookies "with icing in Christmas colors" for my SS class tomorrow - (their favorites). I had to go to "Plan B"... Moravian goodies. We had Sugar Cake and Molasses Cookies every Christmas at FBC in Sunday School, but I've never done that at Central. Tomorrow is a "first". Sandra is playing her small mandolin - traditional carols, and it should be good.Came back to the boat to watch the final UT football game with Phill*ip Ful*mer as coach. (We won - yes, we've been UT fans for years, before we ever knew N. Lake was on the map)...anyway, the man is an institution at UT and I hope he's laughing all the way to the bank with the six million they're having to pay him to get him out of there. When you're winning, everybody loves you; When you're losing, it's a different story and we've had a losing season. Fickle people!

Late.... gotta get to bed. Praise the Lord for a GREAT day and especially in the pouring rain this afternoon. We so need the rain!
