Friday......

We're in TN this weekend.... I will be so glad to see my SS gals again. Sandra is playing Christmas music on her small mandolin for us on Sunday morning - a treat for all of us. I have to pick up some Christmas cookies to take on Saturday.

We have to make a trip to pick out tile for the kitchen on Saturday also. That should be kinda fun. I say kinda because I don't know what I'm doing in this department. Have picked out a near black granite for the counter tops. Thankfully this is a small kitchen.

We've seen lots of boats out today, but one of the funniest sights was that of our friends, Jim and Linda from Sevierville, TN. Our old pastor, Dr. Liner, was also their pastor at FBC, Sevierville. Rich retired out of there several years ago. Anyway... their little antique boat died and they were making their way out of here with it. Of course we had to give them a hard time. What was so funny was the expression on their faces when they went by us and realized they were "caught".

Charles ran errands and then met up with Ronnie, his former employee, at 6:00 tonight.... the one he was out the door to meet last week when the boat was about to sink. He also bought a tarp to cover the boat this afternoon and is in the process of getting it on.... but not before we called the Hurricane deck boat people to see if they could make an official cover for the boat. Nope - the boat is too old - they don't make those covers anymore.

I had an evening at the boat by myself - got my low fat chili out of the freezer and enjoyed that and watched The Pol*ar E*xpress on TV.

Aches and pains tonight - must be the damp weather. Aging ain't for sissies says Mother.
