AWESOME Evening....

I was done in by 3:00 this afternoon - it was pouring the rain and I went to bed. Was asleep by the time my head hit the pillow. Charles was doing various and sundry things like turning the deck boat around by hand - a pretty good-sized task..... and going back up to the parking lot to look for a book he thought he was supposed to have with him tomorrow that he could not find. Come to find out, he will get his copy tomorrow. That's how communication goes ....

Anyway, I awakened at 5:00 with a horrible cramp in my right foot. Gosh did it hurt! Finally went away when I walked around the boat some. I noticed that the clouds were moving away and we could see the sun for a few minutes. I asked CT again about going to the Greens ceremony @ church - it started @ 6:00, takes us nearly 30 minutes to drive up there, and it was now 5:05 and I was in PJs.

If I wanted to go that much, he'd go with me.... Let me tell you, I was fully dressed by 5:15 and we were out the door of this boat by 5:20. Wooooo Hooooo - I was so happy to be going. Charles and I have had parts in it for the past several years - I just LOVE that service @ our church and Bob pulls out ALL the stops musically. It is glorious.

Tonight's service was no disappointment. The music was the BEST and this year the children sang a couple of times (instead of the minstrel singers like last year). That's smart on Bob's part because it brings in parents AND grandparents when the kids sing. The church was nearly packed as it always is for the Greens service. And did I say the music was glorious???

We walked in just as the service was beginning and sat behind two of our favorite people at Central - "my" Janet and Eddie V. They are all about serving God through our church and I've loved them both for a long time. They had a couple of parts tonight - candles and greenery in the window and Eddie had one of the speaking parts and did a great job with it. Was good to be able to sit and listen and sing the many carols and ENJOY the service....

One beautiful service.
