I’m writing from our hotel in Nashville tonight. We were up early this morning and left the boat early to drive over. The air was frosty as we walked through the marina and by the time we started up the mountain, we were seeing snow flurries. We laughed and wondered aloud if school would be called off in our county today.
The closer we got to Knoxville, the more snow we saw. I’m like a kid when it’s snowing. We stopped to gas up in Fountain City and I called my good friend Susanne. It was snowing at her house, too. I told her we’d be on the Cumberland Plateau and we both laughed – mega-more snow. Teased that she should keep close to her phone b/c if we got stuck, I’d call her to call out the troops. Yeah, right, what troops?
We stopped @ the shoe place where Charles has found such wonderful bargains in his size – 14 AA. They were closed today! Getting ready for a huge sale and of course we'll miss it. This guy has had more shoes since we've lived in Tennessee than he has in our entire 40 years of marriage. Just don't find much out there in size 14 narrow.
Came on into Nashville, check-in was a breeze. He went to his first meeting which lasted from 1 until 5 this afternoon. I talked with John D. I'm to drive to LifeWay tomorrow and he and I are driving to Hendersonville, TN to see Carolyn. I can hardly wait! She is recouping from that awful back surgery so we're going to take lunch to her. After talking with bro, I finally had to lay down for a nap.... running on 3.5 hours of sleep last night. I had slept for about 1.5 hours when my cell phone rang and it was Jonathan - excited like a kid. It was snowing in Hendersonville!
Charles came back to the room and he and I went shopping... I didn't buy much. We ate a Chic Fi*let sandwich without the butter on the bread... and left the french fries off for dinner. Trying to stay on our WW.
Off to bed.... so tired tonight....
