Have been sewing today... by hand and it hasn't been easy. Decided to cover the "mattress" with white sheeting (the mattress that goes back into the third bedroom window seat... twin bed size except a little shorter. Have had to get an old beeswax candle to run the needle through because that needle was not going through that cloth. Tried a thimble and it kept falling off of my finger. Finally got it covered though. Now I have to cover all of that with the navy blue seat cover material - a dark navy brushed twill. Decided to use the Nautica Navy (which is the deepest midnight navy I can find) stuff from the boat and bought something else for the boat. I have a LOT of that deep navy fabric from all of that stuff, plus already have the pillows. Much easier to buy another comforter 4 the boat!

It has been cool enough inside this house to where we turned on the gas logs in the kitchen this morning. I'm cleaning stuff out this week. Mom, Debbie and Jim are coming on Friday for Labor Day weekend. Can't wait to see them! Jonathan has the weekend off so he will be here, and I called Carmen to see if she wouldn't come over at least for one night without kids, but it's a no go. Wouldn't be fair to Dean and I can understand that. We are going to have a nice weekend and will probably have an on-going fire out on the porch with this weather! We are not planning to go to the Apple Festival. Haven't been in years. Just maxing and relaxing and eating over a lot of talk and laughter.
