I decided I might just walk down to Jonathan's to see what was going on..... and ended up staying for 2 hours. We couldn't get the fence back up, and we could not dig until the phone people get here - between now and noon tomorrow.We walked around and talked and planned. He had moved all the shrubbery we bought last year, down to his yard, so we went to the stack of fencing and laid out what we're doing in that area and where the shrubbery will be planted along with (can you believe it?) several more trees - 3 fir trees (Christmas trees), a Japanese Maple, 2 Bradford Pears, and a load of boxwoods and other bushes I don't know the names of. All just sitting where they will be planted. The board fence pieces have been leaned up against the little building so they can dry out. SO wet from all of this rain...
The fence is down but will be put back up another way when we find out exactly where the phone line runs.... but the place is tranformed from what it was a few hours before.
Gotta get some timbers and gravel in there next.
