Ty came to the boat and he and I just enjoyed ourselves talking. He looks so CUTE with his little fuzz of hair around his chin area.... but is going to have to shave it off before going to work tomorrow (Friday).CT came in and the three of us left to go to Ty's house where his mom was cooking (always a treat)... We got there and oh boy, the house smelled great. She had ground "Steak" (the name of the cow that went to the Moo-House 2 weeks ago to get cut up)... meatloaf was the main course... all of the trimmings, and things were pretty quiet around the table.... and it was nice.
After we finished eating, we all stayed around the table because Scarlett and Savannah wanted to do the "story stretch" with meme.... Here's the scoop:
Last
Dec. 22 when we went to Polar Express, in desperation in the car (because it was going to take a couple of hours to get to Bryson and because we had taken the girls to a fabulous bakery in Fountain City & they were on a sugar high...) out of desperation, Meme came up with a game of sorts. I made up (as I went along) the beginning of a story.... the characters would get to a cliff-hanger and I'd pass the baton on to the next child to keep the story going and after a few minutes, another child would pick up the story, etc.... and the last person would end the story. We were howling with laughter over the twists and turns that each person would contribute to the story. We played it over and over with different made-up beginnings..... and they have wanted to play it consistently since then whenever we're all together. So last night we ALL played it. We laughed our silly heads off!Charles and I talked on the way back to the boat about how the kids seem to have "crossed a line" to where they aren't as rowdy as they were last year.... and CT likes it better around the table when it's like that.
Had a great time with our kids and of course those grandkids were wonderful. I don't know HOW anyone could love their grandkids more than I do. Savannah went downstairs and made a pretty picture and brought it to me. Sweetheart kid.
We came back to the boat and watched FOX news. Charles Thomas said, "When I'm over here (@ the boat), I don't want to leave to go home.... and when I'm home, I don't want to leave home to come back to the boat. We both love both places. If we believed in "luck", we'd say we are the luckiest people in the world. Actually we're BLESSED. Far beyond what we deserve.
