Sunday.....Monday....

We haven't stopped since Summerlyn Brooke arrived! Sunday we slept in because we were exhausted, especially me. I don't think anybody was up before 10:30 so we went to church with FBC, Spartanburg. We love Dr. Wilton and he was great on Sunday!

We all laid around. Summerlyn didn't even get in the hot tub. Just a lazy day. CT worked in his bathroom putting up fixtures in the afternoon and Sum Sum knitted. We did make a batch of homemade bread in the bread machine. She makes yeast rolls at home so we made a loaf in the machine.... tried several different recipes and settled on one that we liked. I'm sending the bread machine home with her.

Sherry - one of Carmen's good friends who lives behind Furman University - called.... Summerlyn is going down to spend a couple of nights with them on Monday - is good friends with one of their daughters. We've known Sherry since Summerlyn was first born and they (Carmen and crew and Sherry and hubby and kids) all lived in Charlotte and went to Hickory Grove Bapt. there. Nice people.

Monday - Today - I was up at 6:00, but back in bed by 8:00. CT was still asleep as was Summerlyn. When I got back up at 9:30, Summerlyn was up, had fed herself CoCo Krispies, and was watching TV and knitting. Had put her skirt on that we bought on Saturday. We also bought a swimsuit cover-up that she wore non-stop, but went to the skirt this morning.

We worked on knitting much of the day - also baked more bread and she did some other things in the kitchen. That child LOVES to cook!

I watched the news much of the day - thank the Lord they found the serial killer and killed him. He had a 25 page rap sheet which I find ridiculous - why was he out on the streets???? Five people have lost their lives at the hand of this sicko in the past 10 days. No excuse for something like this having happened. Somebody wasn't doing their job!

Jonathan ate with us tonight then disappeared. He and his dad had worked later this afternoon on the Spring House plumbing.... I found Jonathan two hours later asleep on the screened porch. Great place for a summer nap out there - cool and with the sound of the waterfall, I'm sure it put him to sleep.

Our spark guard came today and looks GREAT on the fireplace on the porch. That thing is as heavy as lead. Made by a U.S. company named "Pilgrim". Fits to a "T" so we should be safe out there as far as sparks go. It's a "vintage iron" and is flat black. We were glad to get it.

CT's laptop was supposed to have been picked up - second time they haven't shown. I'll give them tomorrow and if they don't get it, I'll be back on the phone with DELL I guess. No more Dells for us. How many times have I said that??

Tomorrow the basketweaving supplies come out. Summerlyn and I are mega excited. She and I laid on her bed and talked tonight. We both loved doing that. I keep reminding her how I love being her "MeMe".... they are calling me "Meam" for short and I love it. How blessed can a Meam be?
