It has been past time for us to get the kitchen closet (pantry) done, so I decided to tackle it. Last night, Jonathan and I went for din din at Apple*(bees in Greenville and then to Lowe's. We bought thick wood strips and white peg board and wire shelves.
Didn't get home until 10:30 so I didn't do a thing but fold clothes, blog, watch the news and go to bed.
This morning after my attack on the yellowjackets (they appear to be gone now), I headed for the pantry. Jason put a light in, put a new floor in, and of course the new door. I don''t know how to lay the tile so I'm going to put the remainder of the indoor/outdoor carpet on the floor....I'll be fine with that. When we get around to it, we may tile the floor to match the laundry room and kitchen.
Got the peg board up.... very small closet and the other end will house the hot water heater when we move it, so I don't have much room.... Anyway, the wall on the end of the closet facing the kitchen needed attention.... I got wild and wooly....
On the
screened porch has been sitting a box (500) of the last basketweaving book that Nancy(*Welch and I published. I don't know what to do with the doggone things short of burning them. The other two books sold out and the only place I can find them is occasionally on Ebay. I had the bright idea to wallpaper the one wall inside that closet with a few of those little jewels and then hang shelves over them. Wait till I tell Nancy. She has our three books matted and framed and hanging on the wall in her office at the college where she is Dr. Nancy. I think it's a hoot. I don't have any of them framed... but they do make good wallpaper.
