We were finally nearly ready for the arrival of Mom, Deb, Carmen, Savannah, Scarlett, and Luke (along with Summerlyn who had been with us for 10 days but was visiting a friend in Greenville).... Homemade chicken salad was made for lunch on Wed., meals planned, groceries bought, beds made, Spring House readied and their part was to "arrive".
Mom and Deb
arrived first and we had lunch with Jonathan on the screened porch. Carmen had planned to be here by 3:00 or a little after. Mother and Debbie scouted out the house, went to see Jonathan's place, and walked back up for lunch. We had a neat time catching up on the screened porch.
Sure enough - around 3:15, Carmen pulled around to the driveway to the Spring House with the grands and soon after they were down at the house in swimsuits - giving hugs to Meem and Ma and Debbie and Jonathan, then heading for the hot tub. They all checked out the tree house and played in it all afternoon along with swimming.
The house was buzzing with activity and a very tired Meem just loved it. And it was only the beginning.
