Jonathan and I kept looking at that paint color funny. It looked like the walls all over the house while it was in the can... harmless.... so we painted the guest bedroom in it. I also touched up a large spot on the bedroom wall where the cat had run into a picture frame up on the highboy.
This morning I realized we had the wrong bucket of paint. Where I had touched up was messed up - and the guest room would have to be redone. We found the right paint and Jonathan and I had the room repainted in an hour. Our plans to buy a mattress and box springs for the half-teaster bed had to be put on hold. We finished a little past 10:00 and went for breakfast. Soon thereafter he was due in at work.
He ran into Lowe's last evening to pick up some carpet cleaner and the appliance dept. guy who sold him the new dishwasher yesterday said that right after he bought it, they were marked down another $100 - bring the receipt in and they would refund the $100.00. We were happy about THAT! Thank You Lord!
I'm ready to take a nap and wait for Charles to get across the mountain to H'ville. He worked 5 days this past week. I'll surely be happy to see him.
The guys working today installed the dishwasher. It is wonderful. The other one sounded like a spinning dryer full of nuts and bolts. Never heard anything like it and it was a high end GE that was a special order that the customer didn't take. Black - and even with the stainless steel, it looked great under the black granite..... but the new one is stainless and is a jewel and is quiet.
Then they went outside to work on board and batting. Ted came down and we started planning the deck off the screened porch. We plan to sink the hot tub - should be awesome.
The BIG trick is this... I may have fixed my computer. Remember the extra keyboard? I decided to "go for broke" late yesterday afternoon. We could get the computer to reboot, but the thing was so messed up I couldn't get the password typed to get in. So... I pulled the old keyboard out... mopped up the soda that was inside the machine and installed the new keyboard. It worked right away - waaaay better than it did when the DELL tec left the house on Monday. Some things just don't make sense.
