All of the news about the double murders on Hwy 101 in upper Spartanburg County got me really curious so I pulled up a map but shouldn't have. Hwy 101 is close to a highway that crosses the state line and is only a few miles from here.
Didn't get to bed until I was falling over asleep last night and was up by 5:15 this morning to hear the earliest news. Still no clues, and the bodies weren't even discovered until Sunday night. There ARE times when I don't like being this remote. I may never let CT out of my sight again when he gets here on Thursday! Ted and Cindy's trip to the house and pounding on the door totally unnerved me last night so I was a perfect set up for this to be the house that paranoia built by the time I went to bed. I pray the killer/killers are caught today.
Another news story..... We've seen through the years, many coaches and sports teams who were on a winning streak and seemed to beat everybody they played. But one thing Charles would never tolerate was one of his coaches "running up the score on the other team"... Doing that was a HUGE "NoNo"... After all, it was/is just a game and what is the point in running up a score?
I was amazed that a coach in a Texas high school last week allowed his team to score 100 points over the opposing teams score of "0" points.... a girl's team (basketball), to boot. Wrote an email to the paper refusing to apologize to the losing team. That coach is an arrogant idiot (yeah - pretty strong language) and I nearly cheered when he was fired over the weekend.
Can you tell I've had no sleep?
