Charles was off from work on Wed. (Fall Break @ the school he's helping) so we worked around the boat. Watched F*OX network regarding the election, and talked about the remodeling at the homeplace. Decided after having spent time checking out stoves, to order a new one. It will be here in two weeks and then be delivered to us.
Thursday Charles went back to work. I spent all day trying to do things on my laptop... no go. It was so slow I'd literally go to sleep between the time I clicked on anything and the time it actually pulled up. Called De*ll. I've already blogged the rest.
It's now Friday.... My computer is working like a new one.

It's been rainy here all day...
I got brilliant today. Before the showers really began, I decided to vaccuum the carpet on the foredeck and aftdeck. Did so, and when I went to empty the canister, the bottom of the doggone thing fell off into the lake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The vacuum cleaner is a no go without the bottom to the dirt cup!
I have decided in my agony over spending MORE money, that I could certainly have a good yard sale if we could pull everything we've dropped into this lake back up to the surface! shoes... cell phones... electronic car keys.... remote control.... tree trunk shipped from CA.... a Life Truths Sunday School book - the ONLY thing we've ever retrieved. It was so wrinkled it curled up and when I walked into SS with it and told them the story, they cracked UP. Anyway... regarding the part, I called the parts people and sure nuff... for $31 I will have a new dirt cup and it will come within 10 days. What a NASTY story. Woopie.
