Writing from Hendersonville this morning....
Charles didn't get to the boat until dark yesterday ~ had a meeting after school.
We DID take a lot of stuff off the boat and back over here. And there's more to go the next trip over. Picked up the cats and they KNOW what's up when we do that now... curled up in our laps and slept most of the way over.
The mantle looks GOOD. I may leave it as it is. I had considered a white mantle, but I like the way this looks... and it is massive. I sat this ragged antique winback chair in the pic to give an idea of the size of the fireplace. The chair has to be reupholstered.
We're up this morning cleaning and moping. I came up with the bright idea to clean the hardwood floors, put some furniture and oriental rugs (that we already have) on them and SEE if we're going to be able to live with hardwood in the living room and dining room or if we're going to have to have carpet.
We're also getting the gas logs hooked up in our bedroom today - then moving the bed frame in there because it's rainy here and we do not want to bring our good bed out in the rain. Plus, the carpet isn't down in the bedroom yet because we haven't bought it yet.
The kitchen stove is here....and dishwasher.... things are beginning to move FAST. I hope they will continue.
