It's been days and before my Mother sends out a posse', I'll try to keep this computer up long enough to write something.
DELL is coming this week.... the "fix-it" man will call me by Tues. and it will probably be Thurs. or Friday before he gets here. Will install a new Mother Board, new keyboard, and more memory. Good-sized over-haul. Will be the last thing they do on that expensive warranty that I've had for 4 years. It expires on the 26th of this month. It has paid for itself multiple times.
I tried all week to get letters and thank you notes written to good friends @ Central who probably are wondering about my manners at this point.... but it was a no go and may be a no go until this machine is fixed. It blinks all the time now. Pretty annoying.
We spent the night at Carmen's house on Thursday. The kids had fixed a basket of "toiletries" for us to use to shower, and Tyler insisted that we sleep on his king bed and even put fresh sheets on it! Carmen cooked a fabulous dinner and we enjoyed the kiddos to the max. Carmen and I sat up and talked after they went to bed, until we were about to fall asleep.
Up the next morning.... kiddos got off to school and Carmen, Lukie and I went to Aubrey's to eat lunch. Had a ball as usual. We don't get to do stuff like this often enough. Luke was a scream. He's so full of himself!
Picked the girls up after school at the bus stop and came to the house. Charles wasn't far behind and we got out of there quickly and headed for Hendersonville. First, we drove over to pick up two stools we decided to try at the new counter space in the kitchen. Jonathan called and said Ted had the final cabinet up and also the pot rack. We could hardly wait to see it.
